The 2028 update of the California Water Plan (CWP28) kicked off in May of this year.  The current CWP 2023 focused on Resource Management Strategies (RMS).  The approach for this update is establishing a watershed framework.  The Sequoias to the Sloughs (S2S) is in itself working within that same framework.  Engaging in the CWP28 update process can provide significant benefits and resources to the S2S program.  Regional reports in this case the Tulare Lake Hydrologic Region will be updated.  Regional covenings will be conducted as well.  Organizations and individuals are encouraged to participate in this state-led initiative.
